Publication Ethics
Originality and overlapping work
Submit original scholarship and accurately identify quoted, paraphrased or reused material. Disclose related manuscripts, conference versions, translations and preprints. Do not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals at the same time. A preprint is not automatically disqualifying, but must be declared and linked.
Authorship and accountability
All listed authors must have made an appropriate scholarly contribution, approved the submitted version and accepted responsibility for their contribution and the integrity of the record. Describe contributions; acknowledge assistance that does not justify authorship. Resolve author order and consent before submission. Changes require a written explanation and agreement from affected authors.
Evidence and research conduct
Do not fabricate or falsify data, citations, quotations or research procedures. Describe methods and sources accurately, preserve necessary records and report limitations. Obtain required ethics review, informed consent and permissions. Protect individuals and communities from inappropriate disclosure.
Conflicts and independence
Authors, reviewers and editors must disclose interests that could affect assessment. Editors should arrange independent handling when conflicted. Commercial arrangements must not determine acceptance. The automatic APC waiver for the first three issues, standard USD 850 APC from the fourth issue, and partial or full waivers are disclosed in the fees policy. Payment and waiver decisions must not influence editorial acceptance.
Editorial handling of concerns
The editor assesses specific concerns, obtains responses and preserves confidentiality to the extent practicable. Serious matters may require consultation with institutions or relevant bodies. Outcomes may include a request for clarification, rejection, correction, expression of concern or retraction, depending on the evidence. A concern is not treated as proof of misconduct.
Respectful communication
Communicate professionally and focus criticism on scholarship. Harassment, discriminatory remarks and coercive citation practices are unacceptable. Legitimate criticism and disagreement are welcome.
Publication record
Material errors should be reported promptly. Corrections and retractions must be linked to the affected work and explain the reason. Withdrawal before publication should be requested by the corresponding author with an explanation and the agreement of all authors. No withdrawal fee is currently charged.
Artificial intelligence and research integrity
AI tools cannot be authors. Human authors remain responsible for all content and must disclose substantive generative AI assistance, verify references and outputs, and protect confidential or personal information. Editors and reviewers must not upload confidential manuscripts or reports to external generative AI services.
AI-writing screening threshold: no higher than 20%. The journal has not yet selected a detection tool. Application of this numerical threshold will begin only after the tool and assessment procedure have been published and communicated to authors. Until then, no manuscript will be automatically rejected on an unspecified AI score. Detection scores are screening indicators, not a measurement of actual AI authorship or plagiarism; editorial assessment and an opportunity for authors to respond remain necessary.
See the full AI use policy. Alleged misuse is assessed fairly, with an opportunity to respond. Concerns and appeals may be sent to editor@jkdjournal.com with the article or submission ID and specific supporting information.
